Hi! This is a children story which inspired by two twin houses at the end of my housing complex. Javanese said, the location is on "tusuk sate". Near that, there is a sumptuous siskamling, which built by the rest of materials from those houses.
I started to put attention on the first house, when the new owner built it as two-floor house on a 90 square meters land. Slightly narrow, huh? Since the houses in our housing complex at least built in 130 square meters land. However, the owner was smart enough to design it beautifully with wooden shades. In front of the house, the owner left a square of land as the garden. First, they put a swing there, but then replace it with wooden gazebo. I was amazed to see how smart the owner design his house aesthetically.
Months later, the owner of the house next to it re-built his house as similar as his neighbors. However, it was less beautiful than the first house. But what makes me surprised was, after months, the owner of the second house left, then the second house was bought and united by the garden. "How progressive is he," I thought, since I know that buying a house is not cheap.
Thus, it inspired me to write this children story. It was my first time to let the story flow without any intention to add moral story inside. My dad said, the story tend to be absurd. He worried that not every children magazine can accept the absurdity like this. "A house that can talk and fight to its neighbor? Nonsense!" That was why I prefer to publish the story here, without any intention to send it to any children magazine or children desk in newspaper.
Please kindly read, use your imagination and enjoy your time! Hehe. Last but not least, don't forget to put the source if you want to use this story. Don't do any kind of plagiarism, okay?

Kiko dan Pupu
Dua buah rumah kembar dibangun
bersamaan.

kalau struktur bangunanmu rapuh begitu,” sergah Kiko.
Begitulah, tiada hari tanpa
pertengkaran Kiko dan Pupu. Tetangga mereka, para rumah di kompleks
itu, sampai merasa terganggu.
“Hei, apa kalian tidak malu? Dulu
pemilik kalian bekerja sama merancang kalian, kenapa kalian ribut
Namun
esoknya, keduanya tetap melanjutkan pertengkaran mereka.
“Huh, andai aku bisa pindah dari
sini,” gerutu Sisca si poskamling, yang bosan mendengarkan
keributan itu.
Mendengar gerutuan Sisca, Kiko
justru mendapat bahan olokan baru.
“Pupu, lihat, penghuni rumahku
sangat menyayangiku! Pak Vendix dan istrinya selalu membersihkan tiap
sudut rumah dan merawat tamanku. Anak-anak bisa leluasa bermain di
sana sampai lupa waktu,” kata Kiko menyombongkan penghuni rumahnya.
Pupu jadi sedih mendengarnya.
perhatian seperti keluarga Pak Vendix.
Melihat Kiko diam saja, Pupu merasa
di atas angin. Ia terus mengolok-olok Pupu. Hingga kemudian..
“Nguing, nguing, nguing!”
Ambulans tiba-tiba datang, diikuti
beberapa mobil dengan penumpang berpakaian serba hitam. Beberapa
kuhuni sendirian,” gumam Pak Johan. Sebelum pergi, Pak Johan
memotret Kiko sebagai kenang-kenangan.
Ditinggalkan tanpa penghuni, Kiko
makin kusam.
Mereka
membawa palu, cat dan beberapa alat. Tanpa dikomando, mereka sontak
membersihkan Pupu, mengecat ulang tubuhnya, meruntuhkan tembok
pembatas antara Kiko dan Pupu hingga.. voila! Kini halaman Kiko dan
Pupu tersambung jadi satu.
“Eh,
apa yang kalian lakukan? Stop! Stop!” jerit Kiko dan Pupu kaget.
Terbiasa
bertengkar, Kiko dan Pupu tak sudi bila mereka disatukan. Namun,
tanpa mereka tahu, Pak Vendix ternyata sudah membeli Pupu. Ia lalu
meminta para pekerja meruntuhkan tembok pembatas, menyatukan halaman
Kiko dan Pupu, lantas membangun jalan setapak.

Nantinya,
Kiko
dan Pupu bungkam. Terbiasa beradu mulut, kini mereka tak tahu harus
berbuat apa ketika disatukan.
“Hahaha,
kena batunya, kalian!” kata Kakek Evan. “Sekarang,
berbaik-baiklah, jangan buat keributan!”
“Hoahm,
akhirnya.
